♪♫ It's obvious the trouble we're in

When your father pulls up in a Mercedes Benz

He says he just happened to be in the neighborhood

But before he leaves he slips the landlord the rent

You say, "It's just a question of eliminating

obstacles"

As you throw your dinner out the kitchen door

You say, "I know how you try"

But honey, let's eat out tonight

[Chorus]

No one said it would be easy

But no one said it'd be this hard

No one said it would be easy

No one thought we'd come this far

You can't seem to ever fold up a shirt

I bring it up and you think I'm a jerk

But I think we're here to stay

I can't imagine it any other way

[Chorus]

Sometimes I wonder who he's picturing

When he looks at me and smiles

[Chorus]

Oh, and look we've come this far ♪♫

that steel pedal solo @ 3:58 summons within me that small sliver of irremovable sorrow indicative of wisdom and age. It does something to my heart, even if i'm with friends talking, something about it makes me freeze.

@rocknrollroy2007 I have always felt like this song should of been ahit song as well, and then my familly and I decided that when we go back to Columbus Ohio to make sure we go to the "Rock-n-Roll Hall Of Fame", in Clevelend Ohio, so we went this past summer, I was there August 3, 2013, and lo and behold , there was this little glass case with this little gem of a song called "No One Said It Would Be Easy" by Sheryl Crow. I was thrilled for her. Such a beautiful and deep song.

A multi format release, including a specialist market vinyl pressing with We Do What We Can on the flip side and/or the Na na.. Many good song combinations to choose from...[idle thoughts]...."Tuesday Night Music Club" could be a film. The back cover, as song tracks go, is a mighty good read, I shall believe. End ;-j

The BEST song from the "Tuesday Night Music Club" CD. Why wasn't this song released as a single? It could have been a hit.

Sheryl Crow is the essence of brilliance!!! She sings... She writes her own lyric... She writes her own music... And, plays 11 instruments!!! Amazing talent for the ages!!!
