no infact he used marshall cabs with celestion greenback speakers with a mesa boogie pre amp. so really he didnt use marshall at all. And later on like the in utero period pretty much all he used in the studio was a fender twin.

The argument is a bit academic - the sound equipment was supplied by the event people and everyone used the same amps to speed up the change overs. With 15 minutes between the bands they didn't have time to re-mike a new set to the mixing desk.

what did he wake up oneday and say im going to be a tribute band. Im going to call it Nervana, look like one of the most inspirational people in music, try to sound exactly like him but not quite getting there, sing the songs he wrote but i dont really understand his lyrics, and for gods sakes i better do drugs to cope with my aniexty and stomach pains while i marry this whore that later kills me for my money. eh not bashing them or nothing i just dont understand tribuate bands at all.
