The only reason people think LP's version is better is because that version is played slower and thus people can process the song better. Trent just said screw it and played as fast as he could and didn't worry about not pleasing people.

I prefer this version over the one by Linkin Park. People who prefer LP's version are entitled to their opinion, but could you please call it an opinion rather than a universal fact that LP's version is better? I find it annoying to read (and I think a lot of NIN fans would get less pissed off about it). Thank you.
