Nice interpretation. But I think what it means for Reznor is that he is getting back in touch with his human side. His earlier work leading up to the Fragile is more about how he is losing his humanity and becoming a machine. The Frail is him having somewhat of an epiphany about the fact that he is still human after all and can still feel emotions. At least that's how I see it.

The way I see this song, I think it's supposed to represent some sort of escalating level of psychotic breakdown. The sounds get more grotesque and rampant and outlandish as the song goes on, while the the strings in the background never change. It could symbolize how a person may be acting fine on the outside, but but totally insane on the inside.
