I wondered the same thing, back in '79, and now I realize he has done very well. We all know he's the greatest guitarist in the states. Success is in the mind of the beholder.

I wonder why Lofgren never became very successful, as he should have been. He had the talent to become another Knopfler or Springsteen. Even Chris Rea had more commercial success than him.
