What better way to conclude the year as to recapture one of its outstanding highlights by revisiting Finnish Symphonic Metal legends NIGHTWISH taking the likewise legendary Wacken Open Air by storm? After being decorated with triple platinum status in Finland as well as gold status in numerous European countries (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, among others) for their most current studio masterpiece »Imaginaerum« and following the highly successful release of their very own fantasy motion picture »Imaginaerum by Nightwish«, the band is closing in its cycle of the `Imaginaerum World Tour´ with a festival triple -- Wacken Open Air being the first of those final shows. The `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2013-2013 visited in 34 countries, consisted of 104 shows with total audience attendance of over 1,5 million fans.
And what would be a better way to celebrate the grand finale as to capture the entire show at Wacken Open Air -- the world's biggest heavy metal festival -- for a live DVD/Blu-ray? The live show in the front of 85 000 screaming metalheads was directed by Ville Lipiäinen, filmed with seventeen cameras and has a total duration of 85 minutes.

"The time has come soon to wrap up the magical & memorable one-and-a-half year `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013! We still have three shows left, one of them being at the legendary Wacken Open Air Metal Festival on the 3rd of August. This show will be something extra special, since it will be released later this year on DVD/Blu-ray, together with a massive `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013 documentary. Our darling flying Dutchwoman, Floor Jansen, has been nothing but incredible during her time in Nightwish on this tour, so this is a perfect opportunity to immortalize the current vibe of the band on film! "
The second disc consists of 120-minute tour documentary 'Please Learn The Setlist in 48 Hours', with no short of drama or overall madness. Also, there is a 16-minute NIGHTWISH Table Hockey Tournament, filmed on tour. On top of this there are two music clips: 'I want my tears back' (Live at Hartwall Arena) and 'Ghost Love Score' (Live in Buenos Aires).

Basically, I never heard other band like Nightwish. I"m from the old school of rock, heavey metal of the 80's and 90's. Glanm etc.Including when I heard Evanescese But whem I heard Nightwish in local radio in Puerto Rico specially the song Everdream with Tarja, It was a big emotion, it was the first time that I listened that kind of voice, so melodic with opera. But now when everything happened in the band and Anette replaced her was different. Annette bring brang differente style in the songs. Great in the studio version, but in the live version, was another story. She did the job, but not complete to fulfill the demand of all audience. Now, with Floor is amazing. She complete every aspect that Nightwish leave behind, presentation, singing skill, joy, love, intelligence, beautiful sexy front woman. I don't what hell more say. Nightwish doesn't have find anything else in other part. I hope that Floor stay in the band for long time. Because when I listen the songs I travel to other dimension thank Nightwish for your music.10 years ago

It's a shame seeing Anette go :( (Apparently, it was due to her not physically being able to attend a few of the shows, so they brough floor on to replace her - She, obvious, wasn't happy and left - No sure if that's true though) She gave us two of the best NW albums I feel. She had... something that Tarja didn't - Played very much into Tuomas' "Story-teller" guise. Floor is indeed a great singer, much like Tarja before her. I'll look forward to seeing how Tuomas uses her voice, hopefully we'll have albums that meet or surpass Imaginarium in musicallity, story and performance - I have my doubts, but I'm here for the music, not the singer. A singer doesn't make Nightwish, well... Nightwish! Without Tuomas, Marco, and the others, NW wouldn't be them! I'll follow them regardless of the singer, because, unlike alot of "fans", I welcome the change. Shit happens... Deal with it and either move on (Pleanty of Power Metal bands with Operatic Vocalists - Epica being a prime example) or accept it and enjoy the music! (I'm happy debate if anyone wants to! :D lol)I may get this, Idk. Something to Mull-over - Got until December so :D11 years ago
