I'm from Long Island (where these guys are from). A local Alt radio Station named WLIR first played this song sometime around 2004 or 5. That's when I had to buy the album! Real good band; his lyrics are great. Too bad they never did much else.

i am very happy to find the numbers going up on this track- i love this song and i love nightmare of you- my dad who is in his 60's was listening to it a lot longer than me though and made a tape for us with it on about 3 years ago for our car trip around france and spain and we listened to this song over and over when we got drunk- fast forward it to the flowers song…. wow, that makes me cool!! my dad got it from a free cd on a magazine x x x

I'm sorry if this wasn't your intention, but the way you're phrasing things is making it sound like you think people who are just getting into this song aren't actually fans of it because it took them longer to find it than it did for you. It doesn't matter what made people get into this music. The point is, they like it, which is awesome because this is good. People need to stop being so concerned with WHY other people like what they like, and judging them for it. It makes no sense
