Remake of the Edge of Sanity song, "Losing Myself," done by Nightingale.

Music: Dan Swano

Lyrics: Jonas Renkse

Dan Swano: Lead Vocals, All Guitars, Bass

Benny Larsson: Drums

Losing time

counting hours

I'll never see myself again

And even though I'm alone

I can't remember what I'm missing

So I leave it be

I'm Closing down

I expect the hopelessness and everything

And even though I'm alone

I can't remember what I'm missing

and it's all I need

I am lost

I feel I am sinking now

like I was made of rain

Like a wave I roll into the endless night

I'm not afraid

as the darkness starts

to make its way

I breathe as hard as you

as I end my day

I sigh in silence

as I try to sink that deep

as deep as you and make sure

that I won't fall asleep

Losing days

I need no hours

I'll never be myself again

And even though it's killing me

I can't remember what I'm missing

So I leave it be

He has talent given by gods. Edge of sanity, Diabolical masquerade and Nightingale proves it.

like the EoS better, but nothing at all against this at all.

And he covered in blood playing a right handed guitar sideways without inverting the strings live in Wacken with Bloodbath.

This version is preety good, it has more joy in it, the EOS was darker and more old school sounding, but though i think i like more of the original after all, but great remake by Dan.

Oddly enough, I think the cleans in the verse and pre chorus lines are better in this version, but the chorus, I think is better in the Edge of Sanity version.

I highly recommend the next albums, that Swano is involved in one way or another: - Ophthalamia - via dolorosa - Katatonia- brave murder day - Dissection - the somberlain - Dissection - storm of the lights bane - Gates of Ishtar - dawn of flames (underrated band, but excellent melodic death metal!) - Therion - theli Advice: most of these bands became weaker or softer in their music in the end of the 90s (not necessary bad at all) ', but these albums are definitely fine crafted METAL!

@theinmortal6 oh man< that's good to know, i had the pleasure to listened swano stuff in their most creative stage, the 90s. I Remember when i got my first cd of edge of sanity, purgatory afterglow, and how odd the note of "in memory of k. cobain" was back then in a death metal record. Then crimson was released! and then, i was looking for any project related: nightingale and ptm, diabolical masquerade, godsend, therion, uuuf very cool times.

If your a Dan Swano fan please check out my band/music/samples as I'm influenced by Dan Swano. By band name is Dawn Of Dreams myspace dot com /dawnofdreams07 and I must agree below, I like the original version on Inferno better hehe

I admit I like the guitar playing on the original somewhat better. (Specifically, how it began with the main riff there). But I think Dan's singing here is much, much better. Also the audio quality. Both versions are great, anyhow.

Dan Swano - Unquestionably THE most underrated talent in Metal! (which begs the question - WHY THE FUCK IS THAT??!! He's got more talent in his thumb nail than most of the pissants out there these days!!!) Dan Swano - 'Nuff said.

The song is otherwise pretty great, but why the fuck is there a laughter at the end? That almost ruins the whole song. :D fucking horrible...

only a god like Swano can cover a song from one of his bands with another one of his bands! genius!
