Well I hope you've gotten out of that mindset in the past 2 years. It's a music killer for sure, I've been there. Just let the songs do what they do and appreciate them for that. Anytime you go in with expectations of how a song should sound in any regard, you're just setting yourself up to be disappointed when had you not been of that mindset you may have actually really enjoyed it.
