She went through things as a kid & as a celebrity that made her feel horrible & eventually led her to commit suicide. People looked at her as an object as people do to Nicki. The song is beautiful & should speak to people not make people talk bad about Nicki.

Nicki makes these controversial songs because she's not perfect, so the drama just gets into more and more serious and personal business that one of a higher status can't get out so easily. So, Nicki compares herself to Marilyn Monroe, who also faced those hardships until she committed suicide. Marilyn was in some trouble because of her beauty, people didn't care about her for her opinions but, for her body and looks. That's how Nicki is comparing her problems knowing that some of her mistakes might have no other way out but suicide, so she feels the same mixture of emotions that Marilyn felt.
