It sounds as if Eric's voice is pretty hoarse but that just adds to the song. This is a great album and this is a great song. I heard this song on the FM stations out of Seattle Wa. and I thought I had to learn to play it. Just a few years later I found out what this song was really about. "I'm just trying to warn you that you're bound to get hurt, I couldn't be her last love so how could you be her first?..." When it comes to love, if it's just a passing thing, someone is going to get hurt. There is no forever love, there is just as long as I am able. That's the truth.
