Anybody who is connecting to God in worship through this song is doing a superior job of it, regardless of how it sounds to human ears. God is listening to the heart anyway. The purpose of worship isn't necessarily just to craft the perfect version of a song but rather to facilitate heart-to-heart communication with God. It's all about Jesus, anyway. It must never be about the artist. Matt Redman says it well in "Heart of Worship".
