They did a comeback gig in Redcliffe in 2010, but there aren't any future plans to reform again as far as I know. But who knows what the future holds? I'd love to see them live. :)

@sediment5 Silly but true- Driving from Brisbane to Sydney to sign a recording contract, they had been 'The Folksingers' but the record company wanted a more commercial name. Along the way they tried, but couldn't agree, and in desperation on the outskirts of Sydney they saw a New World Supermarket sign and thought 'New World' was it! They liked the name, and as a bonus it had the New World/Australia connection. At first it was 'New World Trio', then they dropped the 'Trio'. FBM

This is a song from my childhood elofan (not this version though ive not heard this one before), we had the song "Tom Tom" by New world when i was a kid (still love that song to this day) , a great group, i guess they were the Aussie version of our "Batchelors"
