It's just a funny song, do we really need to micro-analyze it? This isn't someone claiming to have written the comprehensive history of the last 100 years on earth. Electricity was not a US invention, it was simply commercialized here. AC was actually developed in Europe, not the US. There would be no internet if not for Alan Turing, again not the US. Keep in mind Edison lost to the European concept of Current. And Ultimately WW2 in Europe was decided by the Russians, not the US. Keep in mind the Brits, Russians, Poles, US, and FFFs all fought against Italy and Germany in the European theater.

I live in the US and we are pritty much run by big businesses and a congress full of children. Elatus, you say we "provide" all of these advancements, but most of those companies and inventors are from other countries.(Project Blue Book, during WWII, took German scientists[some were Nazis] to the US and allowed them to work on the first Atomic bomb) If we didn't exist someone else would just take our place, technology and all.
