Roland has to start trying to compete with Korg's new affordable analog synthesizers and drum machines. This shit with the D-Beam and all this boring digital synthesis is just awful and boring.I know there is a market for it, and people use this stuff for jazz, cover and bar bands, but I miss the nice old analog stuff. I wanna see Roland make their version of the Volca series or monotribe. Why haven't they reissued the TB303, TR909 and 808? There are whole industries based on trying to emulate or clone the 303 alone.11 years ago

Odd how the "Upright" piano shows a picture of a concert Grand. I like that the RD8 has the different textured keys for white and black. Hope the keybed is GHE (Graded Hammer Effect) and not balanced or just simply weighted. Not a fan of the 61 note version being that they used glossy black that will look awful after a few minutes use (finger smudges galore). Flat black or textured would have been a much better choice I think. Looking forward to hearing more sounds from it, price range, etc.11 years ago
