will iams: So jealous that you were able to attend this live concert. I was freaking 10 years old and never allowed to listen to music other than classical or big band. This band has at times been my escape of pleasant memories.

What I like about this video is they are still trying to get a feel for being New Order. Bernie lacks confidence in his singing but nails it when he plays guitar. Really glad that is vid is online. Great performance!

The knowledge of why Curtis took his life is still unknown to me, my personal feeling is he could of took Joy Division all the way up to 84. Clearly the love of electro he has was permeated through the New Order records later down the line. My memories of this year draw on a crowd that were left or leaving school and that North and South bands were Americas intrigue, really into the Deepness of Britain after hearing this like a 80s disco after dressing up as page boy in my case. For adults I think it was the early insight of what was around the corner for the now demolished but not forgotten Hacienda
