New Order are an English rock group formed in 1980 by Bernard Sumner (vocals, guitars, synthesizers), Peter Hook (bass, backing vocals, electronic drums) and Stephen Morris (drums, synthesizers).

The band was formed in the wake of the demise of their previous band, Joy Division.

This live is the live which appeared on field Festi Val [FINBSRY] of Britain in 2002.

Moreover, it is the enthusiastic live performed in rainy weather.

*In addition, the subtitles of this video become the Japanese version.

Não se pode negar que ficou bom, mas, nunca irá transmitir o sentimento da música, da mesma forma que o grande Ian.

his illness did not get the better of him, as Hooky has said it was just a "short term solution to a long term problem"

Have to agree, this is a great performance of a great song. Not sure why people have to hang the baggage of Ian onto it. Far too much reverence around Ian. He was simply a poor soul whose illness got the better of him. Life has to go on and New Order moved on and up.

Why do everyone feel the need to compare the fucking bands? It's a fucking tribute to Ian and nothing else. If you prefer the original song then shut the fuck up and go put on the record instead of whining on here.

The comparisons of JD (Ian) vs NO (Bernard) are ridiculous ... obviously Ian and Bernard differ greatly in their singing styles. Just accept it for what it is ... a NO version of JD's great Atmosphere. Both are great. Using the flawed reasoning of folks, Peter Hook's renditions of JD and NO (recent tours) would also receive a lot of criticism. They too are versions of previous original hits sung by someone else! I love them all be cause I am a JD AND New Order fan.

So much hostility towards New Order, fuckin hell, you should be glad this can be heard live by members of Joy Divison. Yes, Ian put a lot of emotion into this song and made it very powerful but, lets not forget, without these 3 men you never would have heard of Ian Curtis, they are the ones who approached him to join their band in the first place. And Ian was going to quit anyway, to him Joy Division was only Unknown Pleasures, he never wanted a second album let alone world wide success. I'm very happy to have NO, they still have the JD sound somewhere in each of their songs and they keep Ian alive by still singing JD songs. I would be stuck listening to this on record if not for NO, maybe Bernard doesn't put enough emotion into it but the lyrics have enough of that and that's all I ask for.

You guys are douchebags. If there's anyone in the world Ian Curtis would want playing his songs years later it would be New Order. This isn't bad at all. Quit being unique hipster assholes.

this is so very bad, Ian had soul in his voice, thats why new order were never as good as joy division. any thoughts?

This is the sound, the voice of one of the greatest band in the century. No matter how people talk about Bernard's singing. This is New Order, This is Joy Division.
