you never hear any of this kind of metal at all on the radio , you just hear the classic bands , like iron maiden and such

But even in an instrumental you need to have repeating parts, this is what gives character to the music. If a band has no instrumentals then it's because they do not give preference to that kind of music.

It doesn't take a professional musician to see what is happening in the music industry. Anyone with common sense can see that the majority of music put out by the mainstream record labels in most of the popular music generes is designed to be an attack on creativity. Ask yourself a question, When was the last time you heard a band featured on the music award shows on tv play a really good lead guitar solo?
