Static metal? That one's new to me. I wouldn't know how to classify this band but I don't think it's that's important. I mean, Paradise Lost were 'not so metal' for a while during the One Second and Host eras, but they were still a metal band... and compared to the crap you hear on the radio anything with a guitar in it is heavier than usual.
