I just recently discovered Nellie McKay. A friend bought tickets to a performance in Mass. I can hardly believe I've been in the dark for all the years she's been making music. I adore her music - can't stop listening. I'm making up for lost time. Nellie is a voice for the animals too. To me, she is perfection.

wow I've listened to this song many times and never noticed the pizza. I agree. Genius. Can't believe this young lady hasn't gotten way more attention. She's amazing and smart way beyond her years.

whispering "PIZZA" into the mic after saying "but you don't know what's in my mind" is probably the most intelligent thing anyone has ever done with music. PURE GENIUS!!!!

I first heard her perform a few years back on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion and fell in love with her. The skill with which she sings and plays piano while throwing word combinations together is amazing. She's so skilled and it's so very sad that she isn't as famous as today's pop stars. She actually deserves the awards and acclaims that other, less talented, people get.
