Nekromantix are one of the best psychobilly bands. They are the second wave of psychobilly, with some trash and metal influences like Mad Sin, Godless Wicked Creeps, etc. A cult band that appeared at the end of 80s6 years ago

wrong!...psychobilly should not have metal infuences...true psychobilly is oldschoolpsychobilly from the 80s with a rockabilly guitarr a rockabilly bass and a punkrock drummer...make the guitarr a little dirtier and there you go: psychobilly...everyting else like necromantix, koffin kats rezurex ect is some kind of "new" psychobilly with more influences...things are changing...everybody is listening to whatever they like...i am an oldschool psycho, i listen to the good old shit11 years ago

im not a specilist in psychobilly, but it's a very specific kind of music, that sounds like coffin nails, batmobile, guana bats, sir psyko and his monsters, Diabatz, and those bands do something else. Im not saying its bad, is just something else with elements taken from psychobily, but sonds different and he guys from sycho will have the same opinion as myself But it's all cool, let's just have fun and be happy11 years ago

Alright then mister psychobilly master, define what makes a band psychobilly? What's the correct scale/chord progression that defines the genre? Or is it just your opinion of songs/bands that aren't common that makes it psychobilly? Unless you have theory behind your statements of "true psychobilly" then I claim your statements to be false and of ignorant opinion on the matter. Theoretically most are defined by being of rockabilly with punk/metal influence and horror lyrics...think about that.11 years ago

Heh, no the Koffin Kats aren't psychobilly by MY standard either, but I think the genre has splintered into many subsets, particularly in the US. But still, it's an argument that goes nowhere...I get your point and understand what you mean, I just doubt it's worth arguing over with people I can guarantee have never heard say, The Sharks...ya know?11 years ago

The Krewmen!! Yeaah! Wow that was a long time ago. Then Mark moved on to form the Phantom Rockers. THAT was a long time ago.. I don't think the 'psychobilly sound' is worth arguing about, not that there aren't substantive arguments-but the Cramps called themselves psychobilly right out of the box, and their music was never anything close to what is now deemed psychobilly. Those bands use some psychobilly elements, but aren`t the real deal (except for meteors) The real stuff is Krewmen, Klingonz, Gorilla, Meteors, Sir Psyko, the Cirs, Scumrats, Frantic Flintstones... Not saying one is better then another, but psychobilly genre is specific thing, and that`s very different from rezurex by the way12 years ago
