This live cut was taken from Neil's Silver & Gold Live Video, released in 1999.

Neil Young: Silver & Gold is a live video by Neil Young performing solo on acoustic guitar and piano. All but the last song were performed at Austin, Texas' Bass Concert Hall during his 1999 solo acoustic tour. In my opinion this is the most beautiful rendition of the song....

Did not Neil could play the Piano this well, always thought this was him singing but not playing it. One thing about Neil is his Voice has not changed for decades,

An amazingly beautiful song... arguably better than The Boss' Oscar-winning song from the same movie.

I was watching the movie "Philadelphia" the other day, and upon hearing at the end, I assumed it must either be built to spill, or maybe the flaming lips, and was very surprised later to find that it was actually Neil Young. The history of the song aside, it's a beautiful composition. so simple. and so perfect.I can't believe this wasn't on a Neil Young album, it's easily one of my favorite songs from him, and though it kinda sticks out I have it at the end of my "after the goldrush" playlist.all respect to the boss an all, but i'm really shocked this didn't even get nominated for an Oscar.
