I bumped into a childhood friend once and shared a joint to celebrate our reunion after 20 years. He played this song, saying it was his all time favorite. He failed to tell me he was an addict. A week later he was dead from a heroin overdose. I cannot hear this song without thinking of him and honoring his memory. Thanks, Neil.
