A Quarry is an open-air digging operation (they're literally big deep pits in the ground), while a mine is an underground digging operation (think minecraft). And there you go =)12 years ago

I'm not sure what the definitions are for a quarry and a mine. I think quarries are where they actually dig up rock, and mines they're digging through the rock to find something else, like metal ores or gemstones.12 years ago
