Natalie Cole, the daughter of the late Nate King Cole, and niece of Jazz musician Freddie Cole, was an R&B star starting in the 70s, but changed her style towards Adult Urban Contemporary and Smooth Jazz in the early 1990s, which made a resurgence in her career. Her string of singles include: 'Inseperable', 'I Got Love On My Mind', 'Sophisticated Lady', 'Mr Melody', 'Annie Mae', 'Pink Cadillac', 'Miss You Like Crazy', and 'Unforgettable' (duet with her late father, Nate King Cole that was digitally remastered along with the video.)
She also made guest appearances on TV shows and TV movies, and was host of 'Big Break', a TV talent show that aired briefly in 1990. She has won nine Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, and two NAACP Image Awards, during the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

Natalie's had a very interesting music career, stylistically. She began making 70's soul, transitioned to more "lite FM" R&B in the early 80's, then went away for a significant period of time and when she came back in the late 80's started making Dance/Pop, then moved onto Jazz and standards in the early 90s. She can basically do any genre. I'm surprised she didn't try rock.11 years ago

YES!!!!! My mom taped "Totally Minnie" off the tv for me and I freakin nearly wore out the cassette from watching it over and over again. I drove my mom crazy watching that!
