I first saw Narvel by accident. He was the "warm up act" for a couple of superstars. I don't even remember who they were. It was at The Palace in Columbus Ohio about 1974. He upstaged them and everybody since that has shared a stage with him. All this and he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet!

Apparently he was much underrated. I never heard of him in the 70s, and by the 80's country music changed and he was not on the A-List like Johnny Cash or George Jones. But if you have not heard him sing Lonely Teardrops (original, not live youtube) give it a try. It's hard to top Jackie Wilson with Lonely Teardrops, but this guy is amazing!

i heard him when I was a teenager in the seventies working as a busboy in a club that he performed at and I was mesmerized by his voice then. Nice to see him on You Tube and that he is still performing!
