She's amazing. I'd also recommend "Other Voices/Other Rooms" CD (the first one from 1992). Wonderful collection of songs.

I too discovered her in the 1990's had the privilege to meet her at the Bluebird Cafe before a show. It was an amazing experience. A poet's heart and soul speaking to the poet in me... I treasure that meeting and her collection of work.

There once was a show called American Music Shop, it ran on TNN when it had lot's of great music. The Texas Connection was a great show also...You can find some of the remnants here on You tube.

If there was a network of Music Across America that featured the sort of campfire harmony like this, it would be popular among those of us who don't like to watch people hunting crocodiles and snakes, or the Kardashians, or who is the next star.

mnemonyxx, Jerry Douglas is playing the Dobro. He is arguably the best Dobro player in the world, and he has recorded with nearly everyone in the folk/country music scene.

Sad state of affairs that a genius of a Nancy Griffith doesn't get the attention (views, comments...) as, say, a Britney Spears or Lil' whoever!!!
