"Dodsengel, Arizmenda, Ascension [...] depth/maturity" I lollerd, so hard.

Fair enough I suppose. Let's not get into a pissing contest about black metal and kvltness. I just dont think this is near as convincingly "evil" as something like Dodsengel, Arizmenda, Ascension, or even DsO from SMRC on. Nor does it have the depth/maturity of such bands I dont think. To me anything Naglfar just sounds like rehashed Dissection...

Pretty standard Melodic Black [read: Dissection worship]. Nothing really new or interesting going on here... Not bad, just not terribly good or even great, though.

/watch?v=SfKTDMEoC88 pretty much sums up my thoughts. If you think this is epic and/or evil, you really, really need to explore black metal way, WAY more.

@chaotic13000 for me naglfar es best, his music is more powerful,Naglfar is a band that had to exist with or without dissection. and in addition in March his new album goes out, and this is great!

@chaotic13000 I'd have to go with Dissection, since Naglfar probably wouldn't exist if it weren't for them - I also find Dissection's compositions a bit more complex and varied. But both bands are awesome!

@TheAngryRuslan Good observation, for you what´s best band? naglfar or dissection?

Sebastian Zein

@chaotic13000 Oh no it's not an official tribute, just musically I find it extremely similar.

@TheAngryRuslan Is this true, but where it dresses it? in this album? Has it some reference to dissection?

Brilliant tribute to Where Dead Angels Lie by Dissection!

What I love about Sheol is how well linked together the whole album is. Perfectly streamlined incredible brutalness. This song's my favourite though!
