Laced with symbolism, the story takes place in the dark ages of a distant, mythical land. A young knight is sent on a mission to defeat the Evil One, also known as the Phantom. Long ago the Phantom was imprisoned in a great labyrinth beneath the Earth by a powerful sorcerer. After many centuries, the spell holding the Phantom prisoner is beginning to weaken. It is now up to the young knight to venture into the labyrinth, find the Sword of Light and destroy the Phantom before he can escape the labyrinth and wreak havoc upon the Earth. The Sword of Light is the knight's only hope of defeating the Phantom and allowing the Age of Paradise to begin.
