__________

Myrkgrav was founded by Lars Jensen in the beginning of 2003, as a one-man project. (Skogens Trell was not the first name of the band: Skogens Trell and Myrkgrav are 2 different projects).

Lars Jensen earlier used the artist name Leiðólfr.

The 'Ord Fra En Fullmaanenatt' and 'Over Fjell og Vann' demos from 2004 are NOT official demos of the band, do not add them please! Both are unserious material, more or less a joke like Skogens Trell was.

(previous) so, is not to exalt the character of Olav (because the people whom reads history books knows that Olav is saint as an troll handsome - sarcasm, he was a son of a bitch). The song shows how that legends of early christianism in norway (with a lot of syncretism) were preserved in the memory of the people through generations. Greetings and sorry for any mistake and my bad english.

It's a Leyend from Ringerike (North-East from Oslo) About the construction of a church by the hand of Olav II and how a female Giant (Gygra is the term used to design female giants) attacked the church, until Olav faced and order her to stay in the forest the rest of her life ('until he return to woods and see her again). The song tries to reflect how the norse mythology and the early-nordic christianism found the way to assimilate in one new culture of the new kingdom of norway (next)
