Wasn't the "Finelines" album like a demo CD (contained something like 5 songs which included this one)? In any case, I had that CD and lost it a couple years ago. I love this band, it's one of the rarest gems in indy music today, love the guitar sounds/fat bass/pounding drums/melodic vocals. MV rocks, all hands down! :D

Re-discovered these guys via YouTube; then realised I had this album and spent days looking for it ..... no joy. Just re-ordered another copy. This piece of work could have the same profound effect as Siamese Dream. Scrap that, it already has.

Magnificent opening. My Vitriol aren't strictly a shoegaze band, but if you like the ethereal quality of their music, check out Slowdive, to whom the obviously owe a debt of gratitude. Also give the Verve album "A Storm in Heaven" a whirl - not as heavy as MV, but certainly in the same range.
