Hayley has a beautiful voice but this is not her kind of song. Two versions of this song which in my opinion compare favorably to Celine Dion are Sam Bailey's powerful version and only slightly behind is 13 year old Carly Rose Sonenclar's version. This kid is only gonna get better and I look forward to seeing her become an international superstar. Check these out, you won't be disappointed.

People need to just give up on trying to cover this song. There isn't a version of it that sounds anywhere as good as the original. Celine's voice is the only one that works well for it. Everyone else just makes it sound cheesy (which it is but Celine gets so into it that it kind of masks the cheesiness). I love Hayley Westenra but her covers are almost all totally lacking in feeling. She did the same thing with Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush--it was vocally good but completely lacked any sort of feeling.

Her voice is really beautiful, but not powerful enough for this song. She started sounding mediocre at the end, when attempting to belt out. This song is for singers like Lara Fabian, Celine Dion herself, Whitney Houston (unfortunately dead), Jennifer Hudson, etc.Unfortunately, I have to say I prefer Celine's version of this.

both Celine's version and Hayley's version are good. They just have different voice tone and color, and also different singing technique, so which one is better? you can't say, it's just the matter of taste. IMO Hayley doing a great job singing this song and I can say it's equally good with the original version.Nowadays many recycled songs from old one brought by younger singers, and most of them is very, very bad (one that I remember, Beauty and the Beast, the new one is so fucking shit). But this? This is an awesome job :)

she's okay, but she sings the majority of the song in falsetto which is not how the song is supposed to be sung. she doesn't have enough power in her voice for this song. no one can sing this better than celine.
