#HeavyMetal *My Dying Bride**The Cry of Mankind*You can't expect to see him and surviveYou'll swallow his tongue of thornsHis mouth, dripping with fliesIn his glorious kingdom of fireBut I believe he weptI will make them all lie downDown where hope lies dyingWith lust, you're kicking mankind to deathWe live and die without hopeYou tramp us down in a river of deathAs I stand here now, my heart is blackI don't want to die a lonely manThis is a weary hourThis is a weary hour

Muerte
Pieza maestra de Doom metal. Musicalmente es perfecto y el arte gótico que se aprecia en el vídeo, la representación del Cristo lacerado y de la novia moribunda, en esta iglesia del Medio Evo es una escena que se quedó en mi cerebro.

I bought this CD a while back in a record fair together with a lot of other stuff. Back then I wasn't sure if this one belonged to their death metal era...Back then I was much more into doom and I thought that this song seemed to want to go somewhere but it just went on an on with the same tune except a few moments when the guitars seemed to take off.And there were some moments in which the keyboard got really annoying. With the perspective given by time I see that I wasn't wrong. The whole album is too pretentious, I don't understand why people who try to become more "artsy" always go down the road of depression, sadness and stuff. Anyway. Boring as hell but not as bad as some of the latter stuff from this combo.
