Your soft hand

But I don't understand

Your big brown eyes

With a small small heart

I'll come down, down, down

Oh, you don't know what you found

Don't, don't walk walk walk away

Take me

I will remember you

Long dark hair

Nothing much to lose

Help you crawl crawl crawl

Oh, I wanna see it all

Eyes asked why why why, too late

Please you

Oh, I know what to do

A soft salt taste

Do you see me as a fool

Can I look look look

Oh, the things you took

Eyes asked why why why, too late

I'll come down, down, down

Oh, you don't know what you found

Don't, don't walk walk walk away

Their sound is so fascinating, it was way ahead of their time (I wasn't even born, so it's an impression), it is so futuristic and still it has a vibe that touches you deep in your heart. To me it's like a blurry dream of a sweet childhood memory.

*sigh* Isn't Anything is SOOO underrated. It seems like the only reason that people dismiss Isn't Anything is becuase it isn't Loveless, as well as how people always compare Isn't Anything to Loveless. I swear, Isn't Anything would get WAAY more love if Loveless never existed.

I think you need exposure to more historical context to understand the importance of this. Short of that, I suggest trying Loveless, especially if you have access to psychedelics.

It's not bad. Kind of sounds like Shields shelved a lot of b-sides from Loveless days. Even more electronic experimentation, which I couldn't be happier about. All in all, exactly what I was hoping for, which is, paradoxically, somewhat disappointing.

Also prefer this to Loveless. This is just such a great blend of chaotic noiserock and beautifull harmonies. it has a bit more of an edge to it than Loveless, but they are both masterpieces in their own ways tho..

You're not listening properly. After a shaky start, MBV found their forte and released 2 albums and 4 EPs between '88 & '91 that were in a different class to everything else on the "indie" scene. Not everybody got it. But actually during that time no-ne else was as consistantly creative, few songs sound the same as each other, the songs were all uniquely different to other bands. How many other bands can claim that after about 1972? Rock was practically dead by the end of the 80's. They gave CPR

This band sucks the D. Omfg it's just noise. This crap is worse than Drake combined with T-Pain, and that's pretty bad.

I´m glad to be alive when I hear this. To me it´s inspiring and speaks of new possibilities.About how beauty could still be created in a radical new way some 20 years ago... And I bet it still can!

@pashedmotatos I know you wrote this like 6 months ago, but yes! I agree. When started listening to MBV, I thought they were a new band that came out last year. Just they're whole sound is different from anything you would hear in the 80s.
