090..serbian-vlach,bulgarian-vlach,ucrainian-vlach,hungarian-vlach.. the common thing is .. vlach (romanian) influence. The Oltenia,s specific is almost identical with Timoc,s one from Serbia not with gipsy. The ancient Timoc,s settlers are ..vlachs (romanians). I see that some vlachs are acusing that hungarian folk music is taken from vlach folk music, which is in my opinion the stupidest claim I read on tube, first do you guys really think that vlach folk music is the mother of all folk musics in central europe? why is it that banat folk is identical to serbian, dobrudjan identical to bulgarian, moldavian similar to ukrajnian, transilvanian similar to hungarian, oltenian very similar to gypsy folk, why? Obviously cultures living close to each other affect each other. But Bartok never said that Hungarian folk music was highly affected by Romanian. That is simly not true. There are obviously similarities, but since Hungarian music was here before Romanian, it is childish to say that we stole your music.
