I've had mixed feelings on Muse's newest album. I was very uncomfortable with the level of "poppiness" at first but it's growing on me. I miss the harder (as in heavy rocking) Muse songs from Origins to Absolution, but Resistance has a couple fun hard songs. This fifth album from them feels more like an experiment in sound as if taking a more Queen approach. Again, it's growing on me! MK Ultra will be next. =)
Drums: There is a lot of overdubbing on this album. Especially on the drums on this track. I have tried to replicate what Dom does in the studio on this cover.
Special equipment:
-Second snare drum to the left: DW Craviato 14x5.5
-14inch floor tom removed. 16inch floor tom is moved up and an 18inch pearl export floor tom was used as a kind of gong-drum.
-The Rhythm Tech Ribbon Crasher is used to replicate some clapping.
Thanks everyone for watching! Rate and subscribe and stuff! I've got more good stuff on the way. New Muse and all.
