I've seen them doing various Deftones songs, AC/DC, even Ennio Morricone between songs. It's nice they pay tribute to their heroes. Even if most fans don't know the originals.

Calling Muse indie rock is not only a lie its a misunderstanding of what indie rock means. It's not a genre of rock like alternative or hard rock it's the term for someone who is independent of a major label.

Listen to stockholm syndrome, dead star, citizen erased, assassin, the small print, micro cuts, hyper music, in your world, showbiz, MK Ultra, Liquid State, and knights of cydonia. (In that order. Just keep going if you like what you hear) They've always had heavier songs They just havent released the heavy songs as singles in a long while. Muse is a far shot from being "indie" though. I'd say progressive alternative rock.

actually i knew muse in fifa 2005 OR 06 with the song supermassiveblackhole i actually like that song but not all of them... all i try to say is that IT IS surprising for a indie rock band to sing or catch some of the heavymetal bands songs...

that's because you obviously never gave them much of a shot, They're no more or less masculine than The Deftones, in fact musically they're very similar, differing in a few ways here and there, IMO Muse is the better band but I loves me some Deftones too. Muse is very fast and driving and heavy if you give them a shot.
