purplepanamadolphins, girl tenor is not a voice classification. Though you are probably able to sing tenor songs or a tenor part in a choir, you're most likely a contralto, or a mezzo soprano with a low voice. I'm sure Adam Murphy would agree with me on this.To those having trouble singing the Bb: the trick is to not try so hard, and to place it just right. If you push, push with your gut. However, some people just don't have the right equipment for that note, though that is more rare than you'd think.11 years ago

For those trying to mimic Matt's voice while singing this keep a few things in mind. UNLESS you are a tenor, you won't be able to hit the high notes without falsetto (or "head voice" which Erik ODell put (btw, it's only head voice for women, falsetto for men...same thing, but if you wanna be technically sound...). Also, when holding constant notes through lyrics, which he does often, do NOT use vibrato. Classically trained singers like to do this. Untrained, not so much. Keep it simple.11 years ago

Matt Bellamy hits a B♭4 which is difficult to hit. I have been taking lessons and I have been able to hit this note, but not without cracking in the bridge. It takes a lot of breath and digs really high into your "head voice." My steady high tenor is at the lower end of B, but I am working to blend so I can hit that note more consistently as this part of Madness sends shivers down my spine and I REALLY want to be able to nail it.11 years ago

Its all on vowel modification, when he says "love" he makes and uu sound first, such as "hook", then it comes to a "au" sound like loft, then o sound, thats how he modifies "love " at the end12 years ago
