For the electronic bass in this song, I tried to mimic the Kitara by using the Bebot Robot Synth app on my iPod and attaching it to my bass. As you can see, my duct-taping skills are incredible. I extracted Matt's vocals and recorded the electronic beat myself, then played bass over the top for the majority. The only bit that is the original song is the bit when I play my guitar. If I'd just played over the original track for the whole thing, it would've sounded a bit disgusting.
The preset is custom, the synth mode is set to PMW, with a little bit of cutoff and no resonance. The sub mode is sine -2 and the osc/sub mix is empty. Echo volume and time are about 1/10 the way up the scale and echo repeat is 1/3. In chorus, wet/dry mix and chorus depth are set to half, chorus rate is empty and minimum delay is full.
For the scale, first of all turn 'Note Grid' The A# is the root note, then the other notes I selected are D D# F and G. The pitch is so the lowest A# is to the left of the screen (the pitch bar is about a third of the way along) and the zoom is full, so you should have two red lines with four other lines in the middle. Autotune mode is set to 'snap'. Hope this helps!
