No it's NOT.....this is anything BUT real music. It's Delta Xover Chicago 'blues' that was 'done' to earn enough to avoid working hard like MOST folks had to in 20thcy.. Its exploiters didn't even claim such flattering nomenclature for THEIR artless & largely technique deficient base efforts. And even that colossus L.D Armstrong only pursued 'it' as it was easier than delivering COAL to prostitutes in Nawlins' Storyville ~ the Tenderloin where syphilis was RIFE....Tender Loins...OUCH..LOL

what a load of old rubbish this phoney blues ouevre really IS when you reflect DEEPLY & objectively on it. I earned my living for YEARS doing it [12/16/24 & 32 bar formulaic tripe] in jaz/blues bands & only now do I realise just how shallow are its 'meaningful' sentiments 'these days'. Maybe it really meant something up to WW2....when yo'se blind, BLACK, ragged & crouched on a street corner with a busted Sears Roebuck $3 box & no bed to sleep in & mules fartin' in your face, but NOT now, oh NO!
