There is a refreshing lack of self consciousness about them. You get the impression that they are taking the micky out of glam rock by aping it so well. Watching them act so goofy without the slightest embarrassment is a lot of fun and they certainly provided a welcome alternative to the kind of serious arty rock that prevailed at the time.
