Going strong since the mid-80s, Millbrae/Berkeley band and Gilman Street stalwarts MTX really hit it out of the park on 1997's "Revenge Is Sweet, and So Are You," from which this song is the opening track. Pure power-pop perfection paired with poignantly pithy paroles (that's French for "lyrics," maaan) make this pretty much the perfect song, and it's a standout from this stand-out album.
