Mr Mister - Kyrie (Live)...excellent quality with lyrics!

Lyrics

Kyrie eleison

Kyrie eleison

Kyrie

The wind blows hard against this mountain side

Across the sea into my soul

It reaches into where I cannot hide

Setting my feet upon the road

My heart is old, it holds my memories

My body burns a gemlike flame

Somewhere between the soul and soft machine

Is where I find myself again

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel

Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night

Kyrie eleison, where I'm going, will you follow?

Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

When I was young I thought of growing old

Of what my life would mean to me

Would I have followed down my chosen road

Or only wished what I could be

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel

Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night

Kyrie eleison, where I'm going, will you follow?

Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

"Kyrie" was a #1 hit song by the American pop/rock band Mr. Mister, from their 1985 album Welcome to the Real World. Released in late 1985, it hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in March 1986, where it was #1 for two weeks. It also hit the top spot on the Billboard Top Rock Tracks chart for one week, and was the band's only #1 single on this chart. In the UK the song peaked at #11 in April 1986.

Back when the M in MTV stood for Music. Back when music had a thing called a melody.

For me, this song epitomises the 80's. Also 'true colours' and 'in the air tonight'.

I feel sorry for this kids today, they'll never experience real music.

Miss MTV and great performances like this. We should have a new channel or they should have MTV again. I think it would be popular even if they only showed repeats of great concerts like this. God I miss watching acts like this on TOTP and MTV.

To quote Randy Jackson, he sounded "pitchy" at this performance.

This is real Rock pop. MTV nowadays awards performers who have no idea what rock and roll means to those whom still love this kind of music. Shame on them!!

the only things 'live' are some of the vox, & the drums -- which are not miked this would b.. so better if it was really live-- because they all render all players! it's all about the record biz.. cheap cheap cheap as possible, money money money in the pockets of the chuppy ass fat cats hutzpah!!

I like 70's music too.It was the time of experimenting (Sex, drugs and Rock & Roll) at the USA.I can not tell much about how the life style used to be because I was living in Mexico City. I lived in LA during late 80's so I listened to 80's music closer and enjoyed it the most. My American dudes used to tell me about their own experince with all that stuff (70's hippie movement). They even believed I went to Woodstock concert. It was impossible!! I was 6 years old and living abroad.

80s music in general was not as good as the great Rockmusic from the whole 70s (incl. bands like Fleetwood Mac,Kansas,Boston,Queen,Jefferson Starship, Foghat, the rolling stones,CCR,Foreigner>>to name just a few), but Rock/Pop music in the 80s was allways very interesting and more simple than before, but still great sounding. And your last sentence talks out of my soul..

Today's music??. If you can call it like that!! Today's music, let's say hip-hop is mainily garbage, non- sense. ballony,You tell me how you'd like to decribe it. I don't mean 80's music was the greatest but it used to be meaningful, made you feel happy and positive. Hip-hop lyrics' are meant to be for losers and the society's out-casts.

this song always reminds me Gale Mortenson, my ex-boss at one manufacturing company back in LA. Miss you Gale where you are by now!!!
