In all fairness there is some rap that is really good. After all, rap is supposed to be poetry set to a beat, essentially. I've done a lot of studying into rap since I used to be really into it. The problem is, what our society labels as "rap" is just a bunch of idiot "gangstas" running off at the mouth and talking about very shallow things. Tupac Shakur had some really good songs, despite a bit of a lack in style there was a deeper meaning to music. Don't fully give up on real rap.
