Crüe Fest was a summer 2008 tour by Mötley Crüe, which commenced on July 1, 2008 and concluded on August 31, 2008. It featured Mötley Crüe themselves, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Trapt, and Sixx:A.M.. During the press conference announcing the tour, Nikki Sixx said that there were currently no definitive plans to tour Europe, however, it is likely that there will be some form of tour at a later date.[1] Crüe Fest is said to be "The Loudest Show on Earth". The tour earned around $40 million and was the most successful and most popular festival of the summer. The tour was first formulated in January 2008 by Nikki Sixx. Crüe's intention of bringing a new touring festival of 'bands that embody the spirit of rock and roll'[1] in the same vein as Ozzfest. The new official Mötley Crüe website ([1]) had promised a special announcement on April 15, 2008. Mötley Crüe hosted a press conference, where the intentions of the Crüe Fest tour were announced and the band premiered their "Saints of Los Angeles" video, as well as performing "Kickstart My Heart" and "Saints of Los Angeles".
