That's not how licensing works. You can sample whatever you want, as long as you pay the royalties. The owners of the music can't deny you the right to sample it.

Seems somewhat unbecoming that a band who built their reputation through "never signing to a major label" would allow their music to be sampled by another artist signed to a major label record.
