I do find it pretty funny how totally camp this is, that whole "mmhhhmm, mmhmm" thing and the pet shop boys style choral backing vocals :) it's bizarre that this guy sort of came from black metal... I used to be a totally humourless devout black metaller and I remember finding this era of his work repulsive, but I think this song is kind of okay now, pretty run of the mill EBM/industrial though... I wish his music was as good as his amazing ridiculous costume but if GWAR and Marilyn Manson are anything to go by, I guess that's just the way it is...

Wow. Haven't heard this in a very long time. I remember this used to be on kerrang back when I was about 13 and I hated it. The channel would get changed so fucking fast. I'm 26 now and this still sucks.

I saw a magazine article about this guy somewhere around '98 and was always curious about the music of this strange, masked fellow. I'd long forgotten the name and internet searches in recent years using keywords like "metal performer, fake nose" revealed nothing. It was chance that I saw a pic of him in an unrelated search and I was able to finally identify this person. I am damned glad I did. I was not disappointed by the music of Mortiis, and this song especially inspires me. At 47, I identify well with inner monsters come to life.

I love this video but the song got cut short ! that's why I usually watch the live video. it cuts off just as the guitar solo is about to start.
