I have to say I don't really agree. I find on a level the song fits with the sort of flying trapeze theme in this video in an esoteric way. A parallel to the circus of the music business. The sub-plot of the ever increasingly lonely female character I find echoes in the lyrics kind of poignantly.

I'm Really fascinated by this video I find it poignant and moving in a way. I come back to it again and again. So many of us end up in solitude even though we want to pair up. We are raised to believe it will be our right of passage to find someone and not be lonely but something gets in the way. It gets harder to believe in it and achieve it as youth fades.

I'm getting an impression this video is about how women hold the power (of sex). How an attractive female can collect and discard men only in the end to be left alone and empty unfulfilled feeling everything they touch withers (hence the withering plant scene). It seems sort of a black widow tale. Does anyone know if this is an official video? Looked online for info but nothing..
