My Mother (god rest her soul) was born in Glasgow. Was put up for adoption and adopted by a family with roots in Belfast. My Mother told us she would be taken to holiday in Belfast in the summer. I don't agree he is lampooning it. I think he's observing the truth. This is the first time in history I believe that countries like the U.K. have morphed racial prevalence within a generation or two. Maybe the Roman invasions transplanted alot of nationalities quickly but I don't think on the scale we're seeing in countries today. I get the impression Morrissey's waxing a little sad about the reality that the world he knew as he grew up is for sure disappearing.11 years ago
