It's the way the octave leap in the bass keeps you waiting till near the end. You know it's coming, then finally it arrives and you have that lovely but sad, backwards glance of an instrumental passage.

Just gotten into Morrissey and The Smiths (thanks to Perks of Being a Wallflower and Let the Right One In/Let Me In). Perfect music for 14 year olds and 14 year olds at heart who never grew up (for better or worse) :-) Weird how I didn't really know about The Smiths and barely knew about Morrissey when I was growing up in the 80s...guess I didn't have cool enough friends. Sounds like a Morrissey/Smiths tune, eh? ;-)
